About Baldi Plus

Baldi Plus is a community mod expansion of Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning that adds new mechanics, characters, and content layers on top of the base game's school-escape premise. The original game's nightmare teacher Baldi and his supporting cast return alongside new characters with their own movement patterns and effects on your notebook-collecting run. New items are added to the item pool, and school layouts are expanded with additional rooms and floors.

The mod respects the original's tension mechanics while extending them. New characters don't simply stack difficulty — they each introduce a specific new threat type that requires different avoidance behaviour, which adds genuine strategic variety to runs rather than just increasing obstacle density. The mathematics-solving sequences from the core game are present and still trigger Baldi's acceleration mechanic when answered incorrectly.

Adjusting to New Characters

New players to Baldi Plus should complete the base Baldi's Basics game first to understand the core avoidance mechanics before the expanded character roster is introduced. Each new character has a tell or pattern that becomes readable after a few runs — observe their movement type on your first death rather than immediately retrying. The expanded item pool in Baldi Plus includes counters for most new threats, which rewards thorough item room visits over speedrunning the notebook collection.
