Dead Again
About Dead Again
Dead Again is a top-down zombie survival shooter built around a wave-survival structure in an enclosed arena. You fight off increasingly large zombie waves using a rotating arsenal of weapons, and between waves you spend earned points on weapon upgrades, health restoration, and defensive barriers that slow zombie advance into your position. The upgrade economy is the strategic layer that separates efficient runs from chaotic ones.
The zombie variety increases through the wave progression. Standard slow walkers form the bulk of early waves. Mid-game introduces runners who charge directly at your position, requiring you to turn and face rather than sidestep. Heavy zombie variants arrive in later waves with large health pools that overwhelm light weapons. Each type requires a different positional response, and encountering multiple types simultaneously — which becomes standard by wave 15 — demands constant threat prioritisation.
Upgrade Priority
Weapon damage upgrades produce the highest return in early waves where enemy health pools are low enough that fire rate matters more than raw power. In later waves with heavy zombie variants, weapon damage becomes critical — a heavy zombie that takes 40 hits from an unupgraded weapon is a serious time sink. Defensive barriers are undervalued by most players; placing them at the arena entrance points forces zombies to funnel rather than spread, which lets you focus fire rather than rotating constantly.
