About Dunkbrush

Dunkbrush combines basketball and visual art in a game where every successful slam dunk paints a section of a canvas. The ball acts as a brush — wherever it passes through the hoop determines the colour splash that appears on the painting below. Fill the canvas by dunking accurately into different target zones, and the artwork updates in real time as you play.

The basketball mechanic is an arc-timing loop: you jump, set the trajectory, and release the ball at the right moment. The creative element comes from the canvas target zones that correspond to different canvas regions. Hitting the same zone repeatedly produces overlapping colour blends; spreading shots across all zones covers the canvas faster but with less layering. The colour palette shifts as you progress, so the final painting reflects the arc of your entire session.

Playing for the Painting vs. the Score

Dunkbrush can be approached as a competitive score chase or as a creative sandbox — both are valid. For high scores, aim for perfect arc releases in the high-value centre zones, which add bonus points per dunk beyond the base canvas fill. For the best-looking painting, deliberately mix zones in each region to create blended colour sections rather than solid blocks. There is no time limit, so you can take as long as you like to aim each shot and build the composition you want.
