Dunkers strips basketball down to its most entertaining core: two oversized characters swinging single arms to grab, throw, and slam a ball through the opposing basket. No dribbling rules, no fouls, no playbook — just physics-driven chaos on a tiny court. Both players share one keyboard, and the grab/swing mechanic means every possession is a contest of timing rather than a button-mashing race.

The physics engine is what makes Dunkers consistently funny and replayable. A desperate half-court lob might bounce directly into the hoop. A perfectly aimed slam-dunk might clip the rim and rebound to the other side of the court. No two plays unfold the same way, and the unpredictability levels the skill gap between players significantly. Anyone can pull off a spectacular highlight-reel move by accident.

Playing to Win

Control the space under the basket rather than chasing the ball. Positioning your character between the ball and the hoop forces your opponent into awkward recovery angles. After intercepting a pass or rebound, don't immediately attempt the slam — letting the ball settle in your character's arc for a moment produces a cleaner, higher-percentage attempt. Rounds are short and the score resets each point, so momentum swings are constant.
