Element Blocks
About Element Blocks
Element Blocks is a strategy puzzle game where you place and match elemental tiles — fire, water, earth, and air — on a grid to trigger chain clears. Matching three or more adjacent same-element blocks clears them from the board and scores points. The twist is the interaction rules: fire blocks cancel adjacent water blocks on contact rather than matching with them, and earth blocks slow the fall speed of everything above them, giving you more time to plan lines through a cluttered board mid-drop.
Understanding the interaction rules is the core skill. What looks like a dead-end board state often has a sequence of moves that chains four or five clears by working around the cancellation logic rather than ignoring it. Mixed-element tiles appear in later levels as a further wrinkle — they count as either adjacent element depending on which neighbor they touch first, unlocking high-combo potential if placed deliberately.
Building Combos
The biggest scores come from setting up earth blocks as anchors around which you build fire or air chains, then clearing the anchors last to trigger a cascade. Avoid placing water blocks adjacent to any fire tile you plan to use later — the cancellation happens immediately on placement. If the board becomes too cluttered, prioritise earth-chain clears to open fall lanes before attempting the cross-element combos.
