FNF Week 6
About FNF Week 6
Friday Night Funkin' Week 6 — Thorns — is the sixth week of the base game and the first to bring a major narrative shift. Boyfriend and Girlfriend face Senpai, an anime-styled character within what appears to be a dating simulator game-within-a-game. The three songs — Senpai, Roses, and Thorns — move from cheerful anime-pop to darkly urgent as Senpai's environment destabilizes and a corrupted entity takes over in the final song.
Week 6 is widely considered the point where FNF's story began to be taken seriously by its community. The visual shift from the dating sim veneer to Thorns' glitching, corrupted presentation is one of the game's most memorable moments. The original soundtrack for all three songs — composed by Kawai Sprite — is consistently regarded as the base game's musical high point.
Chart Difficulty
Week 6 is a significant step up from Week 5 in chart density. Senpai is approachable; Roses introduces fast single-column runs; Thorns includes the base game's most demanding chart sequences, particularly in the second half where patterns become rapid and cross-handed. Hard mode on Thorns is viable for experienced players; Normal mode preserves the complete narrative experience without the hardest pattern sections.
