FNF XE (pronounced 'ten') is a Friday Night Funkin' mod that represents a culmination of several community mod traditions. The XE designation refers to an extreme difficulty version of an original song suite, with charts designed for players who have exhausted the challenge available in standard community mods. The mod's antagonist character design is post-corrupted — fractured, glitching, running at the edge of what the engine can render cleanly.

The soundtrack is composed for maximum chart density and BPM. The original songs in XE are written with chart-first intent rather than conventional musical structure — sequences are designed to produce specific hand patterns rather than following harmonic or rhythmic logic you'd expect from production-led compositions. This makes it unlike most FNF mods musically, but it rewards players for whom the chart is the primary art form.

Who This Mod Is For

FNF XE is explicitly for experienced FNF players seeking a technical ceiling to push against. It is not an entry point to moddded FNF and is not recommended for players still working through base-game Hard mode or mid-tier community mods. Practice mode is available and nearly essential — the first full play attempts will have high miss counts that are better managed in isolated song sections before attempting full plays.
