Football Killer
About Football Killer
Football Killer is an unconventional football game where the objective is not scoring goals but eliminating your opponents by kicking footballs at them with enough force and accuracy to knock them off the pitch. The physics-based combat system uses the same shot mechanics as a standard kicking game — power, direction, and curve — but aims them at players rather than goalframes. A well-placed power shot that catches an opponent mid-run and sends them flying off the edge of the arena is the primary reward loop.
The arena design uses elevated platforms and edge hazards that make effective positioning a meaningful part of the combat. Opponents knocked near an edge are in a precarious state where a moderate-power kick finishes them off; opponents safely in the centre of the platform require a precise high-power shot to move them significantly.
Eliminating Opponents
Curve shots are more effective than straight power shots at moving opponents off edges because the arc continues pushing them sideways after the initial impact — a straight hard shot stops after the impact force dissipates, while a curving shot's residual force continues in the intended direction. Position yourself on the opposite side of the arena from an edge before kicking so your shots push opponents toward the hazard rather than away from it.
