About Golf Champions

Golf Champions is a precision golf game built around realistic arc physics and wind mechanics. Every shot requires three decisions — club selection, power level, and aim line — and then a reading of the wind direction displayed in the screen corner. Ignoring wind on approach shots is the most common beginner error; even a moderate crosswind pushes the ball significantly at full power swing distances.

The courses run from flat, wide-open fairways that punish direction errors to heavily bunkered links layouts where the rough and hazards demand strategic placement over raw distance. The short game (chipping and putting) uses a simplified swing mechanic that is easier to master than the full driver swing, making closing out holes relatively forgiving once you're on the green.

Understanding the Scoring

Scoring in Golf Champions uses standard golf terminology: par is the expected number of shots for a hole, birdie is one under, bogey is one over. Career mode tracks your cumulative score across 18-hole rounds and ranks you against those par targets. Water hazards and bunkers impose penalty strokes, so conservative club selection on approach is often worth the trade-off even if it means an extra stroke to reach the green cleanly. The in-game tutorial covers the basics before the first tee-off.
