Granny
About Granny
Granny is a tense first-person horror escape game where you're trapped in a house and must find a way out within five days — each day represents one play session before Granny catches you and you survive to begin the next attempt with all progress retained. The house is filled with items, locked doors, and mechanisms that form an interconnected escape puzzle. Granny is always present, moving through the house with uncanny hearing — any sound including dropped items and broken glass alerts her to your position immediately.
The sound mechanic is the core of Granny's tension. You must carry items carefully, open doors slowly, avoid creaking floor sections, and generally move through the house as if every surface is a tripwire. A moment's carelessness — dropping a metal item on a hard floor, letting a door close too quickly — sends Granny sprinting toward your exact position. The escape routes require multiple items obtained from different parts of the house, which means repeated trips through her patrol territory.
Escape Strategy
Memorise the floor plan before attempting item collection. The first day or two should be spent mapping the house silently rather than attempting a full escape — know where each locked door is, where the key items spawn, and which floor sections creak before you carry anything. The padlock combination changes each game but is always readable from in-game clues. Granny returns to her idle patrol position after failing to find you following an alert — waiting patiently in a hiding spot for her to pass is more reliable than outrunning her.
