Lock The Door
About Lock the Door
Lock the Door is a survival horror game in the Five Nights at Freddy's tradition, set in a house rather than a restaurant. An unknown entity stalks the building at night, and your defence is controlling which doors and rooms are accessible to it by locking and unlocking doors on a house blueprint while monitoring security cameras and managing limited power — keeping too many locks engaged simultaneously drains power faster, and a power failure disables all locks at once.
The threat behaviour is learned through failure: the entity has patterns that become readable after several nights but aren't explained by the game. Which room it approaches from, how fast it moves between positions, and what events slow or redirect it are all information you accumulate through play rather than through a tutorial. This discovery structure gives the game a survival horror quality that tutorial-annotated versions of the format lack.
Power Management
The temptation to keep all locks active at all times depletes power before midnight on the harder nights. Prioritise locks on the primary approach routes the entity uses most frequently and release locks on rooms it rarely or never enters. The security camera system consumes no power and is the correct tool for continual monitoring — use cameras to observe where the entity is, then apply locks only to its current approach path rather than globally across the blueprint.
