Penalty Shooters 3
About Penalty Shooters 3
Penalty Shooters 3 is the third entry in the Penalty Shooters series, expanding the tournament format with a larger team roster, improved goalkeeper AI that adapts to your shot placement patterns across a match, and a career mode that tracks your tournament performance across multiple competitions over a season. The adaptive AI is the key new mechanic — if you consistently target the same corner, the goalkeeper's dive tendency shifts toward that side within the same shootout.
The visual presentation is the most polished in the series, with stadium environments and crowd reactions that scale with match importance. The national team selection covers a broader international roster than previous entries, and each team's shooter has slightly different base stats that create subtle performance differences worth considering when selecting for a campaign.
Beating the Adaptive Keeper
The adaptive AI is the main tactical challenge versus the earlier games. Alternate shot placement in a deliberate pattern — left, right, high, low — rather than establishing a corner preference, which prevents the AI from building a confident dive bias. If you've already given the AI a strong tendency read in the first two kicks, switch to the opposite corner for the third kick and use the moment the AI over-corrects its bias to re-establish placement versatility. High shots are the hardest for adaptive AIs to account for because the upward dive timing is distinct from lateral dives.
