Flappy Bird
About Flappy Bird
Flappy Bird is the deceptively simple yet notoriously difficult mobile game that captivated millions. Tap to flap the bird's wings and guide it through an endless series of green pipe gaps. One touch of a pipe ends the run — and sends you right back to try again.
Created by Vietnamese developer Dong Nguyen, Flappy Bird's viral fame in 2014 was unprecedented. Despite (or because of) its punishing difficulty, players across the world competed for high scores. This browser version preserves the original pixel-perfect feel.
How to Play
Press Space, click, or tap to make the bird flap upward. Gravity constantly pulls it down, so you must rhythmically flap to maintain altitude. Fly through the gap between the top and bottom pipes to score a point.
Each pipe pair is the same width gap but offset in height. Keep flapping in short, controlled bursts rather than holding to stay near the middle of the screen. Anticipate the upcoming pipe height before you reach it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Flappy Bird so hard?
The hitbox is pixel-perfect and the unforgiving one-hit death creates a high-tension loop that makes each run feel significant.
What is a good Flappy Bird score?
Most players consider 10+ pipes excellent. Scores above 40 are world-class.
Tips & Strategies
Find a consistent tapping rhythm rather than reacting to each pipe. Many skilled players mentally "set" a tapping cadence and only break it slightly to adjust for each gap height.
Watch the pipe approaching two steps ahead, not the one directly in front of you. Planning your height adjustment earlier makes the gap feel far wider than it is.
